While we usually always think of LIFE and DEATH as being associated with our mortal lives here on earth, the scriptures most often refer and define those two words as being one of two eternal destinations for all of mankind.
LIFE (eternity with God) and DEATH (eternity apart from God)

John 5:24 | Romans 5:12 | Romans 6:23

We believe that the Bible teaches that EVERYONE will exist forever beyond this mortal life (in an eternity). But that it will be in only one of two places.

John 3:36 | Revelation 21:3 | Revelation 20:14-15

Heaven ( a word commonly associated with a life with God in everlasting peace ) or Hell ( a word commonly associated with a life separated from God in everlasting torment ). The bible, more precisely, refers to an eternal life with God to take place here, in a "New Heaven and a New Earth" while identifying the alternative place of utter suffering, apart from God as called "The Lake of Fire".

Since the bible presents the path to our eternal salvation as an offer that we must accept or decline we do not believe that it is God that decides man's final destination but man himself.

It is solely by OUR DECISION to believe in and follow Jesus or not.
John 3:18

...because of Adam, we have ALL inherited a sin nature at birth thats has us separated from God, lost and in need of a savior. And that only by a perfect sacrifice for the remission of our sins can anyone be cleansed of all sin, forgiven and redeemed and able to return to the Father after leaving this world.

Jesus was that perfect sacrifice!

...and that the only path to eternal life with God the Father is by placing our Faith and complete trust to be saved, in Jesus Christ alone. And that we must make the decision to do that now while we yet live, here on earth in this life. And that because of our free will, it is up to us to choose Him as our Lord and Savior when the Holy Spirit draws* us to Him. ( *convinces us we're lost )

There is nothing WE can do good or bad that determines where we go when we die. It is simply and completely by placing our faith alone in Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:8 | Acts 4:12 | John 14:6 | John 6:44

To choose Him is to make it our decision as to where we will spend eternity. So, HOW then do we make that decision made effectual, and do we have to decide one way or another?

Answer: Since the Bible teaches that it is solely by faith that we must be saved Ephesians 2:8 and nothing good that we can do, the perfect path to obtain this gift of eternal life and the assurance it brings is by way of
Romans 10:9 and Romans 10:10

And YES! you must make a decision either way
because to not accept him as your savior ( by faith ) is to reject Him of the same.
John 3:18

While he died for the sins of the whole world, John 3:16 sadly the whole world will not be saved because only those who seek and/or accept Him as being sent from God by way of Jesus Christ will be saved. John 1:17

Salvation For All Is FREE, but not automatic...it is by choice
